Tengizchevroil Summarizes First Quarter Results
Tengizchevroil released a report on its economic performance for the first quarter of 2025, demonstrating significant growth during the period. According to the report, the company achieved record-breaking oil production levels, which positively impacted its financial results. This led to substantial contributions to Kazakhstan’s budget through taxes, royalties, and other fees. Specifically, the company produced 9.37 million tonnes of oil in the first three months of 2025. Tengizchevroil anticipates further production increases following the commissioning of new facilities, notably the third-generation plant launched in January. Annual oil output is projected to reach 40 million tonnes.
A cornerstone of the company’s performance is its commitment to environmental preservation in Kazakhstan. Since 2000, Tengizchevroil has invested over $3 billion in environmental initiatives, resulting in a 71% reduction in harmful emissions. According to company leadership, more than 77% of industrial waste is recycled, and Tengizchevroil boasts an industry-leading associated gas utilization rate of 99.3%.
Additionally, the company continues to support Kazakhstan’s economic and social development. Since the start of the year, it has funded 21 social projects in Atyrau. Over its history, Tengizchevroil has implemented more than 120 projects aimed at enhancing social and other infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.
